Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said that following a briefing by Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Mykhailo Drapatyi, steps and means had been identified to strengthen the Sloviansk and Kostiantynivka fronts. He also said he expected at least 30,000 Russian troops to be killed in August.

The head of state said this in his nightly video address, according to Ukrinform.

"Today, there were many issues discussed, specifically military matters. Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Drapatyi gave a briefing, and we identified steps and means to strengthen the Sloviansk and Kostiantynivka fronts," Zelensky said.

He thanked the units that are destroying Russian forces, repelling Russian assaults and preventing the enemy from "infiltrating" Ukrainian positions.
