Russia supplied more than half of India's oil imports in July. Russian oil shipments increased by 62% year-on-year, reaching a new record.
According to Ukrinform, Reuters reported this, citing industry sources.
"Indian dependence on Russia's crude surged to a record in July, with shipments from the country making up 50.83% of imports by the third-biggest oil buyer and consumer, or 2.47 million barrels per day," the report said.
India's imports of Russian oil in July increased by 62.4% year-on-year. However, compared with the record figure of 2.6 million barrels per day in June, imports fell by 4.8%.
