Saudi Arabia on Friday condemned and denounced the targeting of two tankers operated by the UAE’s ADNOC while they were transiting international waters in the Strait of Hormuz.
The Saudi Foreign Ministry described the attack as a dangerous escalation and said it posed a threat to maritime security, freedom of navigation and the safety of commercial shipping.

The ministry said the incident was part of what it described as repeated Iranian attacks targeting ships and commercial vessels in the region.
Saudi Arabia held Iran fully responsible for the consequences of continued attacks and called on Tehran to immediately halt such actions, respect international law and ensure freedom and safety of navigation in international waterways.
