Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion, 1,645 people in Ukraine have been injured by enemy mines and explosive remnants of war, including 170 children and 1,475 adults.
According to Ukrinform, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine stated this on its website.
Information about such incidents is processed by the Main Directorate for Mine Action, Civil Protection and Environmental Safety and entered into the relevant information management system.
This allows, among other things, victims to receive financial compensation from international organizations.
Thus, from 2023 to 2026, 185 victims of mine-related incidents received assistance from international organizations totaling more than UAH 3.4 million.
