World Liberty Financial (CRYPTO: WLFI) has delayed plans to sell a digital token tied to a Trump-branded resort in the Maldives after the Iran war disrupted travel across the region.

What Was the Maldives Token Supposed to Do?

According to Bloomberg reporting on Thursday, the token would allow investors to earn a share of the revenue from loans financing an ultra-luxury resort in the Maldives.

UK-based Dar Global, a company behind several Trump-branded projects across Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE, is developing the resort.

Moreover, the token would have offered investors a fixed yield and a share of loan revenue when it launched this spring, but World Liberty Financial has yet to announce a new launch date.
