Disney fans are in for a treat this Sunday as the Mouse House unites ten of its most memorable characters and voices for “Disney Princess: The Ultimate Concert Celebration.”
The Wonderful World of Disney special airs Sunday, Aug. 16 at 8 p.m. on ABC and features highlights from the D23 Expo taking place this weekend at the Anaheim Convention Center next to Disneyland.
Night one of D23 2026 kicked off with a special concert that brought together the largest gathering of Disney princess talent ever assembled. Performers included Jodi Benson, the original voice of Ariel in Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “The Little Mermaid;” Paige O’Hara, the original voice of Belle in “Beauty and the Beast;” Auli’i Cravalho, the original voice of the titular character in “Moana” and “Moana 2;” and Brandy, who played Cinderella in the 1997 Disney made-for-TV special, “Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella.”
The performers all performed their signature songs from their respective movies, with some being joined by special guests. Benson, for example, was joined by Halle Bailey, who played Ariel in the live-action “Little Mermaid” film. Brandy, meantime, joined Lea Salonga (the original singing voice of Jasmine in “Aladdin”) for the film’s popular duet, “A Whole New World.”
