The Nigerian troops have rescued nine kidnapped victims in Niger and apprehended 20 suspects in Plateau as part of ongoing military operations across the country.
This is contained in an operational report of feat recorded on Wednesday and Thursday by troops, made available to Newman Friday in Abuja.
The report said the nine victims were rescued by troops of NATRAC Administrative Battalion operating under Operation Savannah Shield, at FOB Kotonkoro in Mariga Local Government Area of Niger.
It said the troops rescued the victims following offensive operations and handed them over to Mariga authorities for reunification with their families.
The report also said that in Plateau, the troops of Sector one, Operation Enduring Peace apprehended 20 suspected criminals comprising 16 males and four females.
