More than 1 000 marimba players from across South Africa and around the globe will gather in Cape Town for a historic musical milestone.
St Cyprian's School in Cape Town has been chosen as the venue for the inaugural Marimba World Championships, taking place on Saturday and Sunday.
The event is hosted by Marimba Jam, the Guinness World Records™ title holders for the Largest Marimba Ensemble.
This festival will bring together more than 100 bands and players of all ages, effectively turning Cape Town into the global home of the marimba for one unforgettable weekend.
