Such incidents are immediately taken up with the authorities concerned of the host country to ensure that the cases are properly investigated and the perpetrators are punished as per their domestic laws," he said in a written response to a question in the Rajya Sabha.The government said Indian missions and posts abroad remain in close contact with authorities in host countries when incidents involving Indian nationals are reported.
