Cape Town nurse cleared of sexual harassment after accusations of over hugging and blowing kisses.

The Labour Court has upheld a disciplinary ruling that cleared a nursing clinic manager of sexual harassment allegations against a colleague.

Acting Judge A.C. Oosthuizen concluded that the decision by the disciplinary chairperson, Stephanie Sirmongpong, to acquit FA was reasonable.

Adams, the Nursing Clinic Manager at Rocklands Clinic, faced allegations from TJ between August 2022 and January 2023.

The City sought to have this finding reviewed and set aside, but the court emphasised that it was conducting a review rather than an appeal, assessing whether the original decision was reasonable based on the evidence available.
