ABUJA – The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) says it tracked 4,582 public projects valued at over N22.53 trillion between 2023 and June 2026, saving the Federal Government an estimated N385.62 billion.
ICPC Chairman, Dr Musa Adamu Aliyu, disclosed this on Thursday at the 4th Economic Confidential Lecture and 6th National Spokespersons Awards in Abuja, where he gave a keynote speech, saying the Commission also facilitated the return of projects worth N507.04 billion to sites within the period.
Aliyu said the projects were monitored under the Commission’s Constituency and Executive Projects Tracking Initiative (CEPTI), which he said had helped improve value for money, strengthen accountability in public spending and facilitate the completion of abandoned projects.
He explained that anti-corruption reforms were not limited to prosecution and sanctions, but also involved preventing corruption, strengthening institutions and improving systems to save public resources.
