KARACHI: Former Sindh minister Ghulam Rasool Unnar has allegedly fallen victim to artificial intelligence (AI) technology, claiming that he discovered after his marriage that pictures of his ex-wife that she had shared with him had been edited and altered using AI.
Unnar approached a sessions court seeking registration of an FIR against his ex-wife, Razia Arbab, under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA)
He informed the court that he had come into contact with Ms Arbab through social media platforms. He said that while they were communicating, she proposed marriage to him.
According to the applicant, they later got married through a video call in the presence of witnesses, against a dower of Rs100,000, which had already been paid to her.
