Gurugram:According to DTCP officials, a survey was conducted in the last three days, during which the violations were found.The enforcement wing of the department of town and country planning (DTCP) on Thursday said that action will be initiated against owners of 688 houses in five private colonies for violating building norms and operating illegal commercial units in residential areas.According to DTCP officials, a survey was conducted in the last three days, during which the violations were found. Following this, notices were issued to the owners of these properties in Sushant Lok-1, Greenwood City, Ardee City, South City-1 and Vipul World.Amit Madholia, district town planner, enforcement, said that if satisfactory responses are not received, the department will initiate a sealing and demolition drive.“It has also been decided that demolition charges will be recovered from the owners where the department has carried out demolition and anti-encroachment drive. A cost of ₹12,500 per house will be imposed on the properties,” he said.Madholia said that during the survey, it was found that guest houses, paying guest (PG) accommodations, beauty parlours, gyms, and property dealer offices, among other units were operating out of 100 houses in blocks A, B, and C of Sushant Lok Phase-1; illegal commercial units were found operating from 15 houses in Ardee City; similarly 15 commercial units were found in Greenwood City; and 30 illegal commercial units were identified in South City.The department also found violations regarding occupation certificates and building plans, particularly illegal constructions in 86 houses in Sushant Lok Phase-1 (Block A), 149 in Block B, 71 in Ardee City, 46 in South City-1, 29 in Greenwood City, and 145 in Vipul World, officials said.Madholia said that rooms have been illegally constructed within the stilt parking areas, leaving no space for parking cars inside the premises.“Apart from taking action in these areas, we have already issued notices to violators in DLF Phase-2. Details regarding properties violating approved building plans and occupancy certificate norms are being mapped out,” he added.
