(Yonhap) President Lee Jae Myung’s approval rating has fallen to the lowest level since taking office, with negative assessments outpacing positive assessment for the first time, weighed down by real estate policies.In the Gallup Korea poll released Friday, 46 percent of the respondents negatively assessed Lee’s performance, while 44 percent gave a positive assessment.Compared to the Gallup poll conducted in the final week of July, positive assessments slid 7 percentage points while negative assessment rose 8 percentage points.Real estate policies topped the list of reasons for giving negative assessments at 30 percent, up 8 percentage points, followed by economic and livelihood issues at 17 percent.In the same poll, 45 percent of respondents said that Lee administration’s recent real estate policies – measures including increasing tax burden on high value residential properties – would negatively impact the market. In comparison, 24 percent of the respondents felt that the measures would have a positive impact.Among those positively rating Lee’s performance, real estate policies were the seventh most commonly cited reason at 4 percent.
