The Lagos State Government has commended Brown’s Table, a non-governmental organisation, for donating cardiac monitors to Primary Healthcare Centres across parts of the state.

The government described the intervention as a boost to grassroots healthcare delivery.

The donation was made through Health District III, with the equipment earmarked for deployment to PHCs in Ibeju-Lekki, Eti-Osa, Epe and Onigbongbo, as well as facilities under Health District VI.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony in Victoria Island on Saturday, the Permanent Secretary, Health District III, Dr Monsurat Adeleke, said the intervention emphasised the importance of public-private collaboration in addressing healthcare needs.

“I would like to describe this gesture as a timely support for improving healthcare delivery. The government cannot do it alone, but various support from organisations, social groups and other stakeholders would complement the government’s efforts to provide better healthcare services to the citizenry,” she said.
