Aug. 13 (UPI) -- The San Francisco Bay area was rattled by a magnitude-3.8 earthquake Thursday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
Two aftershocks measuring 3 and 2.8, respectively, immediately followed, the USGS added. The initial temblor, which was centered in Oakland, struck at 8:30 a.m. local time, with aftershocks hitting at 9:07 a.m.
There were no reports of major damage or injuries.
The epicenter was near the Oakland Zoo, KGO-TV reported.
