Record haul: Mexico earned about US$18.78 billion (US$18,780 million) from international tourism in the first half of 2026 — a historic high, per Sectur and Banxico data.

But barely up: That forex figure rose just 0.5% from the same period in 2025.

More people: 51.1 million international visitors arrived from January to June, up 7.7% year on year — also a record.

Overnight guests: 24.5 million stayed at least one night, up 4.6% — another record.
