Six doctors, including forensic surgeons, appeared before the Thiruvananthapuram Additional District and Sessions Court IV in a case relating to the death of journalist K.M. Basheer in a road accident involving IAS officer Sriram Venkitaraman.The witnesses who appeared included K. Valsala, 27th witness, Assistant Professor in the Department of Forensic Medicine at the Thiruvananthapuram Government Medical College and Police Surgeon; Rakesh S. Kumar, 29th witness and Casualty Medical Officer at General Hospital; and Rakesh Thampi, 30th witness and Chief Medical Officer at General Hospital.The doctors are scheduled to be examined at the trial on Friday.
