Alva’s Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre, an institution under Alva’s Education Foundation, Moodbidri, has been accorded recognition as a Tulu linguistic minority educational institution.The institution has been sanctioned 150 MBBS seats for the academic year 2026–27, of which 54 seats will be reserved for students belonging to the Tulu-speaking minority community, according to a release from the foundation.The institution has developed the academic and clinical infrastructure required for medical education, with an emphasis on practical training and hands-on clinical exposure. A well-equipped 650-bed hospital functions under Alva’s Medical System, providing MBBS students with opportunities for clinical training and practical experience across various medical specialties.Eligible students belonging to the Tulu-speaking minority community who aspire to pursue medical education can avail of this opportunity.
