Iran’s military rejects US claims that vessels are passing through the Strait of Hormuz, saying no ship can pass without its permission. Earlier in the day, Hossein Taeb, the commander of the Basij paramilitary, an affiliate of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, said the waterway is “under Iran’s control”.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi says the US made miscalculations about the Iran war due to intelligence failures and risks making an even “bigger miscalculation” over the Strait of Hormuz.
