U.S. stocks were higher, with the Nasdaq Composite gaining around 200 points on Thursday.

Shares of Accelerant Holdings (NYSE:ARX) rose sharply after the specialty insurance company agreed to be acquired by Thoma Bravo and reported better-than-expected second-quarter 2026 results.

Second-quarter revenue rose sharply from $219.1 million a year earlier.

Exchange Written Premium increased 23% year over year to $1.32 billion, while Third-Party Direct Written Premium accounted for 47% of Exchange Written Premium volume.

Accelerant Holdings shares jumped 44.2% to $19.58 on Thursday.
