People of Mzansi! People of Africa! Following its groundbreaking show in Nigeria in June, the Professional Fighters League (PFL) will continue to deliver on its promise as a pioneer of not only African, but global MMA when it touches down in Morocco in October.
Today, PFL Africa announced the six semifinal matchups, as well as a heavyweight main event set for PFL Africa: Morocco on October 10, as the league's continental tournament reaches its penultimate round across the bantamweight, welterweight and lightweight divisions, with the winners of each bout advancing to the PFL Africa Finals later this year.
Live from the Mohammed V Sports Complex in Casablanca, the PFL will host Morocco’s biggest MMA event in history, headlined by Senegal’s Abdoulaye Kane taking on Morocco’s Badr “Dastan” Medkouri in a heavyweight showdown.
Senegal’s Kane comes in having won all five of his career victories by stoppage, with four knockouts and one submission. He will be keen to get back to winning ways after an electric fight with South Africa’s Justin Clarke, who stopped the Senegalese fighter in emphatic style in Pretoria earlier this year.
