The centenarian, who has now been named as Phillip Ormerod, was said to have asked for the music to be turned down during a live set but was then allegedly pushed - leaving him fighting for his life in hospital after tumbling backwards and hitting the floor.He was taken to hospital for treatment following the incident on August 1 but has now died in hospital, Gwent Police said this afternoon. A 56-year-old man from Llanelli who was arrested on suspicion of section 20 assault remains released under investigation while enquires continue.Prior to the announcement Mr Ormerod had died, one pubgoer said: "My understanding from the police and staff at the time was that the 102-year-old, who lived independently and was a regular at the pub, went onto the stage, which was up three steps, to ask for the music to be turned down. He was pushed, causing him to fall down the three steps and broke his hip."Mr Ormerod, from Cwmbran, has been described as "lovely" and was a regular at the Crow's Nest, which was near his home.
