Lead cast: Jung Hae-in, Ha Young“If a person’s life had its own genre, what genre would your life be?” This is the question Our Sticky Love, Netflix’s latest glossy K-drama offering, asks as it opens with images of a bloodied woman lying on the ground while a man in a slick suit gazes down at her with forlorn eyes.The question is posed by Go Eun-sae, played by Ha Young (The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call) in her first leading role, as she wonders whether her life is a noir thriller or perhaps a romantic comedy. Eun-sae has just woken up from a coma, only to discover to her dismay that it is the former. Larger than life, brash and unafraid to speak her mind, she is convinced that, whoever she is, she must be someone special.That self-confidence is challenged when a man claiming to be her boyfriend appears at the hospital. Rather than a knight in shining armour, Jang Tae-ha (Jung Hae-in, Love Next Door) is the scruffy owner of a modest boxing gym in the countryside. Eun-sae is crestfallen by his plain outfit, a bit of stubble and a smudge on his cheek – none of which really conceal Jung’s good looks.Confronted with evidence – including his knowledge of the triangular birthmark on her bottom – Eun-sae reluctantly leaves with Tae-ha.
