In addition to Aalto University, their itinerary also includes Vaasa, where they will take part in events marking the 250th anniversary of the city's court of appeal.The visit is intended to deepen the countries' ties in research, education and innovation.At Aalto, the couple will learn about quantum technology, space and satellite technology and ice research. All three fields are of strategic interest to both countries, and Finnish and Swedish researchers already work closely together in them, according to the university.The couple will also hear presentations from students.The visit will be hosted by Ilkka Niemelä, Aalto University's president, and Camilla Wardi, its director of donor relations.Finland was a part of Sweden for roughly 500 years.
