Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney will host a new show about the club alongside online personality Mark Goldbridge.This comes as part of a deal between The Overlap, the media company owned by former United right-back Gary Neville, and streaming service Disney+.The show will be named ‘Stick to United with Wayne Rooney’ and broadcast by Disney+, other streaming platforms and The United Stand YouTube channel, which Goldbridge presents on and has 2.27million subscribers. The Overlap purchased The United Stand, alongside the That’s Football channel, in April.Goldbridge is set to co-host (Jordan Peck / Getty Images50 episodes of the show have been commissioned, with six set to air exclusively on Disney+. The platform will also broadcast the popular ‘Stick to Football’ show, which is hosted by Neville, Jamie Carragher, Jill Scott, Ian Wright, and Roy Keane. Both shows will be broadcast weekly.In a press release, Neville said he was “immensely proud” to be partnering with Disney+, describing it as “a partnership that expands our reach without compromising our identity.”
Since retiring, Rooney has frequently worked as a pundit, working for Sky Sports, TNT Sports, Amazon Prime and the BBC, appearing on the latter’s World Cup coverage earlier this summer.Goldbridge, whose real name is Brent di Cesare, launched The United Stand in 2014 and has enjoyed a steady rise as a creator through his popular but divisive reaction videos to the club’s performances. In August 2025, the Bundesliga awarded part of its broadcasting rights to Goldbridge’s That’s Football YouTube channel in a first for the United Kingdom.The news of the agreement follows Gary Lineker’s media company Goalhanger signing a two-year deal with streaming giant Netflix to broadcast a weekly version of ‘The Rest Is Football’.
