Global energy storage technology company CATL has been appointed system integrator for Yanco BESS, with ACLE Services engaged as balance of plant contractor.

Both companies will also provide long-term operations and maintenance services once the project is operational. The project’s revenues are underpinned by a capacity swap arrangement, providing long-term contracted cash flow, a structure increasingly common among Australian BESS developers seeking to reduce exposure to wholesale price volatility.
