Revolut is scaling back some WeWork perks for premium members just as it unveils its first airport lounge, part of a wider push to build out its own physical footprint.
As Revolut continues to increase its physical presence, its latest bet is premium airport lounges. The announcement of its first airport lounge in Copenhagen comes on a week that reports have been circulating of Revolut premium members losing access to some WeWork locations – a significant perk offered by the fintech.
A spokesperson for Revolut told SiliconRepublic.com that Metal and Ultra users continue to retain access to WeWork in Dublin, but conceded there is “a slight change to the available locations”. They added that “over 265 locations remain active and accessible to Revolut’s premium members”.
“We always strive to ensure that our Premium (Ultra and Metal) customers receive maximum value across our global partner network,” Revolut said in response to the reports. “While benefit availability can change due to various requirements, we remain committed to offering our members access to premium workspace solutions and other global lifestyle benefits.”
