Emirates Integrated Telecommunication Company (du) will join the MSCI UAE Standard Index, a component of the MSCI Emerging Markets Index, effective August 31.
The inclusion is expected to drive passive inflows from index-tracking funds, boosting liquidity and long-term investor demand for du's shares.
Du's growing market capitalisation, free float and stock liquidity supported its eligibility, reflecting its expanding scale and global market relevance.
Du reported a 12.6 per cent rise in first-half net income and a 5.8 per cent revenue increase to Dh8.2 billion for the period.
