The UAE's floating hospital in Egypt has fitted 72 Palestinian amputees with prosthetic limbs since launching the Step of Hope programme in June.
The latest phase saw 21 people undergo assessments, with prosthetics customised using 3D scanning technology to map patients' residual limbs in Gaza.
The programme extends beyond medical care, with plans to build prosthetics factories, storage warehouses and fund existing workshops to boost Gaza's economy.
The floating hospital, operational since February 2024, has conducted more than 5,000 operations and holds 100 patient beds plus 100 for accompanying relatives.
