English-language assistance is available for inquiries about Seoul's public services and administrative information (Seoul's 120 Dasan Call Center) Seoul's 120 Dasan Call Center will provide round-the-clock information on hospitals and pharmacies, public transportation and events at Han River parks during the Liberation Day holiday, the Seoul Metropolitan Government said Thursday.The service will operate throughout the three-day holiday from Saturday through Monday, with Monday designated as a substitute holiday.The city analyzed inquiries received during last year's Liberation Day holiday and identified medical services, transportation and Han River activities as the three areas most likely to generate demand for information.Medical inquiries surged on Liberation Day last year, with 101 recorded, 3.4 times the 30 received the previous day. Most concerned pharmacies and clinics open during the holiday, emergency medical centers and hospitals.Public transportation was the most common topic of inquiry throughout the holiday. Callers mainly sought information on first and last bus and subway services, routes, stops and fares.The center also received questions about events at Han River parks, swimming pools, water parks, bicycle rentals and fountains.Seoul residents can call 120 from a landline or 02-120 from a mobile phone or from outside the capital.Foreign-language assistance is available for questions about transportation, local taxes, civil complaints and Seoul city policies.
