Aug. 12 (UPI) -- Ethan Hawke's series The Lowdown will return for a second season in October.
FX announced an Oct. 14 premiere date and first-look photos for Season 2 on Wednesday.
The Lowdown is a crime comedy-drama series created by Sterlin Harjo (Reservation Dogs). Inspired by real-life historian Lee Roy Chapman, Hawke stars as Lee Raybon, a writer living in Tulsa, Okla., who gets wrapped up in a conspiracy.
Other cast members included Keith David, Kaniehtiio Horn, Ryan Kiera Armstrong, Jeanne Tripplehorn and Macon Blair.
