The Newspapers/Magazines Distributors’ Association of Nigeria (NDAN), Lagos Island Zone, has lost a pioneer member and founding figure, Babatunde Olabisi, who died in Lagos, after a brief illness at the age of 69.
Late Olabisi, popularly known among colleagues as J.O. Bamishe, hailed from Esie in Kwara State, and was a dedicated member and secretary of the NDAN’s Elders Forum.
In a statement signed by Musibau Oloyede, chairman of NDAN, Lagos Island Zone, and Emenimadu Blessing, secretary of NDAN, the association said the deceased contributions to NDAN would be greatly remembered.

Late Olabisi died on July 31, 2026, and a service of songs was held yesterday at his church, Cherubim and Seraphim Movement, St. Joseph, located at 47D Moshalasi Lane, behind 50/52 Moshalasi Street, Bale Bus Stop, Sari Iganmu, Lagos.
