A special flight carrying Bheemunipatnam MLA Ganta Srinivasa Rao and Anakapalli MP C.M. Ramesh from New Delhi landed at the Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport in Bhogapuram on Wednesday, marking the beginning of special flight operations ahead of the scheduled launch of regular services from August 17.The airport witnessed increased activity as Minister Satya Kumar, MLA Kamineni Srinivas and former MP K.V.P. Ramachandra Rao, who were travelling on another special flight, also happened landed at the airport.With international-standard facilities being developed for aircraft take-offs and landings, the Bhogapuram airport is expected to emerge as a major growth engine for North Andhra.
