The Detroit-style rectangular pie, shaped like the brand's logo, is designed for solo diners and will be available through the chain's mix-and-match deal
Domino $DPZ's Pizza will launch its first individual-size pizza on Aug. 31, offering a Detroit-style rectangular pie called the Domino aimed at customers who want their own meal rather than sharing.
The new pizza is shaped like the company's red-and-blue domino logo and cut into two slices. The crust is built on the chain's buttery-flavored pan dough with Parmesan baked in, layered with two portions of cheese, a sauce of the customer's choosing, and as many as three toppings, all finished off with a garlic seasoning, the company said. It comes in its own box.
A one-topping version will sell for around $7.99, according to the Wall Street Journal. A two-topping version is also available through Domino's Mix and Match Deal, under which diners who pick two or more qualifying menu items pay $6.99 apiece. Prices may be higher at some locations, the company said.
