Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has arrested two Asian nationals in the Wilayat of Al Seeb for possessing more than 225 kilograms of narcotic substances, including crystal methamphetamine, marijuana and heroin.The arrest was carried out by the Directorate General for Combating Drugs and Psychotropic Substances as part of ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking and prevent the circulation of illegal narcotics in the Sultanate of Oman. According to the ROP, the suspects were found in possession of the drugs with the intention of trafficking and consumption.The authorities said legal procedures are being completed against the two suspects, who will be referred to the competent authorities for further action.Man arrested in North Al Batinah for stealing and dismantling five vehiclesThe North Al Batinah Governorate Police Command has arrested a man with prior criminal records for his involvement in stealing five vehicles in Al Khoud.Police said the suspect dismantled the stolen vehicles and sold their parts.Legal procedures are being completed against the suspect in preparation for referring the case to the competent authorities.
