Unlike conventional image-comparison tools, Klarity analyses micro-stroke dynamics, including pen pressure variation, curvature velocity, entry-exit stroke angles, and baseline tremors, to identify sophisticated forgeries.

KFin Technologies Limited on Tuesday announced the launch of Klarity, an agentic artificial intelligence solution designed to detect signature fraud in banking, financial services, and insurance operations.Klarity targets two specific operational problems, skilled forgeries being accepted as genuine signatures, and legitimate signatures being wrongfully rejected due to natural handwriting drift from ageing, medical conditions, or changing pen dynamics. The company claims the system maintains a false acceptance rate below 0.01 per cent for high-value transactions and delivers three times faster verification turnaround compared to existing processes.Unlike conventional image-comparison tools, Klarity analyses micro-stroke dynamics, including pen pressure variation, curvature velocity, entry-exit stroke angles, and baseline tremors, to identify sophisticated forgeries that may pass visual inspection. The system automates up to 90 per cent of straight-through processing while flagging edge cases for human review. The solution is integrated with KFin Shield, the company’s existing fraud detection platform, and extends to Registrar and Issuer Services and Demat account operations, covering off-market share transfers, debit instruction validation, and bank mandate modifications.Praveen Shankaran, Chief Operating Officer for Domestic Fund Services at KFintech, said the product addresses enterprise-level business problems rather than functioning as a standalone AI tool, with the aim of protecting institutional capital and improving investor trust in capital markets.KFintech currently serves as the largest investor solutions provider to Indian mutual funds by number of AMCs serviced, and the largest issuer solutions provider by client count, both as of June 30, 2026. The company operates across 18 jurisdictions globally and is one of three central record-keeping agencies for India’s National Pension System. General Atlantic Singapore Fund is the promoter of the company.Published on August 12, 2026
