She explained how she ventured into the basement in search of her cat - who she describes as an "expert hider" - and now she can't stop thinking about what she found down there.‌Taking to Reddit, she said: "Found a weird note and a giant knife in the ceiling of my basement while looking for a missing cat. This is definitely very old, but also very weird. We are luring the cat out with tasty nibbles, and tomorrow I'm talking to my neighbour who lived here a long while ago to see if she knows any of the story."‌The note, which was written on an envelope, reads: "I love you. You're very beautiful - Randal. PS. Nice window." It was found alongside a knife and a sealed condom which expired in 2015.‌She doesn't know whether to contact the police about her discovery or try to forget about it, believing it could simply be a twisted prank.While the mystery remains unsolved, she was at least pleased to have found her cat, Sushi, hiding among the madness.‌Commenting on her post, one user said: "Might be nothing, just a funny ha ha left behind. I've done that on renovations. Granted, mine are more light-hearted, like there's a skeleton in a wall out there wearing a T-shirt that says 'hide and seek champion 2005', holding a nice bottle of rum as a finder's prize."Another user added: "Pack your bags and settle down on the other side of the world."A third user said: "I would at least ask if anything bad happened at your address in the past. Do a search online for your address and/or the previous few owners.
