Emirates Global Aluminium's first-half adjusted net profit rose 34 per cent annually to $670 million, excluding the impact of Iran's attack on its Abu Dhabi plant.

Reported net income for the period reached $473 million, after recognising a net impact of $197 million related to the Iranian strike on Al Taweelah.

Total aluminium sales fell 32 per cent to 939,000 tonnes, driven by logistics constraints and the closure of the Strait of Hormuz amid regional conflict.

Restoring production at Al Taweelah is expected to cost approximately $400 million, with most expenditure anticipated during 2026 and some carrying into 2027.
