Proteas leg-spinner Nqaba Peter has been recalled for the tour to Namibia.
South Africa are in the midst of a spin revolution. Never in the history of the Proteas have they enjoyed such high-quality options across both the red- and white-ball formats.
Spinners are no longer viewed with suspicion, as a breed who might sometimes keep an end tight by darting the ball in on leg stump, but as men who can actually turn a game by taking wickets.
The only downside is that they are all of the left-arm orthodox variation, along with Simon Harmer and Prenelan Subrayen's right-arm finger spin.
For all their positive qualities, there is precious little mystery about the likes of Keshav Maharaj, Senuran Muthusamy, George Linde, and the Proteas' new stand-in white-ball captain, Bjorn Fortuin.
