In 1999, at the end of his five-season run with the Dallas Cowboys, Deion Sanders custom-built a 29,000-square-foot megamansion on over 100 acres in the affluent suburban Texas town of Prosper, about 35 miles north of downtown Dallas. Designed so he’d never have to leave—fitting for the larger-than-life personality known as “Prime Time”—the residence, dubbed Chateau Montclair, boasted a private barbershop, a two-lane bowling alley, and an indoor football field. A full-sized indoor basketball court featured his personal motivational slogan painted on the wall: “You Gotta Believe.”
The legendary cornerback sold the property to developers in 2014 for a reported $15 million. Much of the sprawling acreage was subsequently carved up to accommodate a high-end residential neighborhood, leaving the grand mansion sitting on about six acres. For the next decade, it bounced through luxury auctions, changing hands but ultimately left unoccupied.
