Johnny Knoxville wept at the end of "Jackass: Best and Last," marking the official end of the gross-out movie franchise.But the former "Fear Factor" host, 55, was really crying − in pain − after taking one unprotected punch to the liver from heavyweight boxer Chris "The Nightmare" Arreola during the movie's hardcore "Truth or Dare" competition, in a deleted scene revealed here exclusively.Knoxville was visibly shaken by the blow that knocked him to the ground in the final edition of "Jackass," which hit theaters in June. Given the onslaught of pain vying for screen time, this punch didn't make the final theatrical cut. But the blow is a crown jewel extra in the film's digital release on Tuesday, Aug. 11."I'm good," Knoxville croaked unconvincingly, breathless after being knocked to the ground. He managed to add, "Oh, my God."Knoxville tells USA TODAY by email: “I had heard getting hit in the liver is one of the most painful things ever. And after Chris Arreola exploded mine, I can confirm it is one of the most painful things ever. It hurts so bad your entire body freezes up because it doesn’t know what to do. And it didn’t even make the movie. Sheesh.”Arreola, whose fist was not hurt by Knoxville's liver, says the blow was a legit knockout."I leaned into it pretty good," Arreola tells USA TODAY by email. "I know it would drop a lot of heavyweights if they got hit clean to the body like that! Johnny took it like a champ."Upon careful reflection, Knoxville put the punch into perspective in his pain-filled career, which has included a brain hemorrhage after landing on his head during a one-sided bullfight."That was brutal," Knoxville said of the punch. "And I've been hit by bulls."Is 'Best and Last' really the last 'Jackass'?During the same "Truth or Dare" game, Knoxville vowed that this would be the last "Jackass" movie − and a lie detector test deemed him to be telling the truth.Knoxville was even more definitive to USA TODAY, giving another sequel no chance of happening. "There is a zero percent chance there will ever be another 'Jackass.' We're done," said Knoxville. "Period."The vow does not seem to cover Knoxville's "Bad Grandpa" movies. A new scene with the rude old man is a standout in "Best and Last." That's a role that Knoxville can actually age into for years to come.
