Walmart and the Walmart Foundation Commit $500,000 to Spokane Wildfire Relief
Grants and in-kind support meeting immediate needs for Impacted families and communities
As communities face the impacts of the Spokane Complex Fires, Walmart and the Walmart Foundation are committing $500,000 in grants and in-kind support to help meet immediate needs across the region. Since the fires began, Walmart teams have been working closely with local leaders and community organizations including Innovia Foundation, Save The Children, Second Harvest Food Bank, Spokane Public Schools, and Spokane County Emergency Management to understand needs and support the broader response.
A Community Facing the Fires
The Spokane Complex Fires have upended lives with over 625 residential structures lost and over 1,300 residents affected by evacuations.
