New Delhi: The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on Tuesday cautioned that the state of border affairs between India and China will reflect on the "state of larger bilateral ties" between the two countries.The MEA was reacting to reports of an alleged Chinese incursion in Arunachal Pradesh's Upper Subansiri district. Some reports have claimed that Chinese troops crossed the Line of Actual Control and entered areas near Pukar La and Ollo in the Taksing circle of Arunachal Pradesh.Also Read: China says India's move to identify 27 places in Arunachal with standard names is 'illegal, null and void'"In matters relating to border areas between India and China, we have always emphasised in discussions with the Chinese side that we consider these issues as most serious and that maintenance of peace and tranquillity in these areas is of the utmost importance," MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said.The MEA also dismissed Beijing's criticism of its decision to formally identify 27 places and geographical features in Arunachal Pradesh by their standard names, emphasising that the state is an "inalienable and integral" part of India.In response to social media posts, sources said there is no slow encroachment in Arunachal Pradesh by China as alleged in some reports.
