Guwahati: The Council of Churches in Mizoram (CCM) held a rally in Aizawl against the proposed FCRA bill. Supporters from churches took part in the protest, carrying banners and placards opposing the proposed amendments.Addressing the gathering near Vanapa Hall, CCM president R Lalbiakliana said the Centre had maintained that the proposed amendments were intended to strengthen safeguards and were not aimed at Christians."If the FCRA Amendment Bill, 2026, is passed in its present form, churches and NGOs could face the seizure of their properties and assets," Lalbiakliana said.
