Lightcap, who joined OpenAI in 2018 and served as its COO for four years, said he plans to stay on for a few more weeks

Brad Lightcap announced his departure from OpenAI on Tuesday, saying he plans to leave the artificial intelligence company to start a new venture.
"It is bittersweet to share that I'll be moving on from OpenAI to start something new," Lightcap said in an employee note he subsequently shared on X $TWTR. He said he is "not going far" but offered few details. Lightcap will remain at the company for a few more weeks, according to Axios.
