A former Kano Pillars, Heartland United and Lobi Stars defender, Chinedu Ozor, has reportedly died after collapsing during a football match in Katsina State on Tuesday.
Ozor, who was recently unveiled as a new signing by Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side Katsina United, reportedly collapsed in the early minutes of a pre-season friendly against Niger Tornadoes.
Multiple reports said the incident occurred about 10 to 13 minutes after the match began at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium in Katsina.
