The Clarendon police are probing the suspected suicide of a 42-year-old woman whose body was discovered hanging from a tree in Suttons district in Chapelton on Monday. The deceased has been identified as Lucian Morgan, a domestic helper of Suttons district. Police say Morgan was last seen alive at home by her 82-year-old mother around 7:00 a.m. on Monday. However, about 11:30 a.m., residents who were tending to their animals in a vegetated area near a cemetery made a grim discovery and called the police. Morgan was found hanging from a tree with a red rope around the neck. She was reportedly clad in a yellow blouse, burgundy tights, and a pair of black sneakers. The police say no visible mark of violence was observed on the body. Morgan was subsequently taken to hospital where she was pronounced dead. A post-mortem is to be undertaken.
