A remake of the 1981 supernatural thriller “Possession,” starring Callum Turner and Margaret Qualley, is coming to theaters next summer.

Paramount has slated the movie to release on June 11, 2027. It’ll open on the big screen alongside Universal’s live-action “How to Train Your Dragon 2.”

“Smile” director Parker Finn is adapting “Possession,” which revolves around the relationship between a spy and his wife, who starts exhibiting concerning behavior after asking for a divorce. Polish filmmaker Andrzej Żuławski wrote and directed the original, led by Sam Neill and Isabelle Adjani.

Turner and Qualley play the husband and wife in Finn’s new take on “Possession.” They’re joined on the call sheet by Diego Calva, Madeline Brewer, Emory Cohen, Nicholas Alexander Chavez and Paul Dano.

“Possession” will be produced by Finn, Jonathan Fass, Roy Lee, Andrew Childs and Robert Pattinson. Marc Bienstock is executive producing the movie.
