Last week, Dobbins guaranteed that he'd be out on the field for all 17 games this season. That's a bold statement being that he's never played a full season, and in six NFL seasons, he has played in 47 games while missing 54 games.
JK Dobbins on his health entering this season to media:"I will be there all 17 games. I'll pinky promise you all here right now." pic.twitter.com/03wOLy2MUm— Underdog NFL (@UnderdogNFL) July 31, 2026Yesterday, it seemed disaster may have struck when he was forced from practice with a soft-tissue injury. The coaching staff insisted they were just being cautious, but we have heard that story before. We got some great news today, though: Dobbins is back on the practice field. We don't yet know the full extent of what he's doing in practice, but it does not look like this injury is anything serious at all or anything that will cause him to miss any time.

RB JK Dobbins, Denver Broncos
When healthy, which will be all 17 games if Dobbins takes pinky promises as seriously as my daughter, he is going to be the starter in Denver this season. RJ Harvey is not a threat to Dobbins in any way. Granted, Harvey will have a role in the offense, but it's not going to impact Dobbins. With that said, we also don't believe that Dobbins missing time would benefit Harvey nearly as much as many might think it will.
